Her History

Alma has interstitial lung disease and middle lobe emphysema. The recommended treatment is a surgery on her lungs that can’t be performed in Gaza. She is in the process of getting a medical referral for evacuation, but that depends on a country accepting her for treatment. She’s severely malnourished and has been in the hospital for over a month. At 4 months she weighs only 2.6 kg (5.7 lbs).

Her mother, Lama, is only 22 years old and lost her first daughter (Wateen) at 8 months old.

This family is most in need of milk and medical treatment for Alma. Should we be able to facilitate her evacuation, she will need support in order to travel.
