Our Teams

Our Board of Directors approves the goods ordered with each undesignated gift, carefully reviewing the moment-to-moment needs of all Fund families, and coordinating with our partner mutual aid organizations on the ground for quick delivery with documentation.

Director - Charlene W. is a Teacher of English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), a former AmeriCorps member, and a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Samoa). Having spent her career in education and the non-profit sector, she is led by a deep commitment to the dignity, protection, and support of child life everywhere and to every person’s access to basic human rights.

Board Member - Melissa D. is a teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching and learning abroad. She has worked extensively as a volunteer with refugee initiatives during her time overseas, and has led numerous student-based projects aimed at building meaningful connections and raising funds for displaced communities. As a teacher, a parent, and above all a human being, she feels a deep and ongoing responsibility to advocate for fairness, dignity, and opportunity for all children and vulnerable people.

Board Member - Jen H. is a wife, mother, and pediatric physical therapist. Jen has dedicated her career to helping others through work in the nonprofit sector and in school districts. Jen has a deep sense of empathy and a passion for helping others, in her downtime she has spent hundreds of hours volunteering for various nonprofits.

Board Member - Laura M. is a mother and a nurse. She feels a deep responsibility to advocate for vulnerable populations, especially for children. She firmly believes that every child has the right to food, care, and a peaceful life.

Board Member - Elvira H. is an HR specialist during the day, a mum 24:7, and a performing arts enthusiast since she can remember. After having lived abroad for many years, she's become a big believer that what most enriches us as human beings is knowing people from other cultures and learning from each other.

Shelter Gaza  is a Mutual Aid organization that serves vulnerable families buy providing shelter, blankets, and clothing. 

Shelter & Feed Gaza is a Mutual Aid organization providing shelter, food, blankets, clothes & care, for orphans of Gaza.

Gaza GivingCart™ is an initiative of Rebuilding Alliance, a U.S. 501(c)3 nonprofit that has been working in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem since 2003. The Giving Cart is a verifiable way to help families (with groceries) in their time of need.
